Upset stomach, #09 Home remedies for upset stomach.

If you are gassy or constipated, nauseous or have indigestion, here are some home remedies to make an upset stomach feel much better the natural way.

#1 Yogurt:

The live bacteria qualities of yogurt make it a great cure for an upset stomach. It eases your digestive discomfort and strengthens your immune system. Choose a non-fat plain yogurt without added sugar or flavors if you have an upset stomach.

#2 Heat:

Put a hot water bottle or a heating pad directly on your upset stomach. The heat increases blood flow to the skin surface. It also transfers the thinking of pain from inside your stomach to the outside.

#3 Rice Tea:

To help an upset stomach or to stop diarrhea, make a rice tea. Boil 1/2 cup of rice in about six cups of water for 15 minutes. Take out the rice and add a dash of honey or sugar and drink it warm.

#4 Burnt Toast:

Toast is very good for an upset stomach. However, burnt toast is even better because the burnt parts absorb the toxins that are making you feel sick.

#5 Carrot and Mint:

The carrot provides nourishment and the peppermint calms your upset stomach. Slice 4 carrots and mix 4 cups of water, and 1 teaspoon of dried peppermint or one peppermint teabag together. Then boil the mixture. Cook about 15 minutes until the carrots are soft. Remove the tea bag and then blend the mixture until smooth.

#6 Caraway Seeds:

Caraway seeds are filled with vitamins and minerals. This stops the growth of bad bacteria that causes indigestion, gas or bloating. Eat a handful after eating your meal or when you feel gassy.

#7 Apple Cider Vinegar:

This common home remedy will also calm an upset stomach. Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 1 cup of warm water, and 1 tablespoon of honey. This will ease indigestion and will help cramping and excess gas in your upset stomach.

#8 CRAP Diet Is Good:

If you feel constipated, try the CRAP diet. CRAP stands for cherries, raisins, apricots, and prunes. These fiber-friendly fruits will get your system moving again and ease your upset stomach.

#9 Acupuncture and Acupressure:

Acupuncture needles stimulate certain nerves in the body. This then sends signals to the brain to release hormones that lower the feelings of pain and nausea. Acupressure is very similar. Instead of using needles, physical pressure is applied to certain points of the body. Both acupuncture and acupressure can help ease an upset stomach very well.
